Stay the Course: JAT’s 10-Year Commitment to Dynamics GP — and Why We Joined the Knights of GP

You built your business on Dynamics GP. We’re not going to let you be forced off it.
That’s the simple idea behind an announcement we’re proud to make today: JAT Computer Consulting is committing to support the Dynamics GP customer base for the next 10 years, and we’ve joined the Knights of GP — a growing cooperative of Microsoft partners, both VARs and ISVs, who are pledging to jointly support Dynamics GP customers well beyond Microsoft’s planned end of support in 2031.
Stop Worrying. Start Planning.
Microsoft’s end-of-support announcement sent a ripple of anxiety through the GP community — and understandably so. Nobody wants to be told their ERP has an expiration date, especially when that ERP is still doing its job well. But end of support isn’t end of life. Dynamics GP will keep running, keep posting transactions, and keep generating reports long after Microsoft stops issuing updates. The question was never whether GP would still work — it was whether customers would still have expert partners standing behind it.
That’s exactly the gap the Knights of GP was built to close. It’s a community-based co-op of customers, consultants, ISVs, and partners who are committing — collectively — to keep GP supported, enhanced, and evolving on the community’s own terms. No forced migrations. No rushed, expensive reimplementation’s. Just a network of GP specialists who believe, like we do, that a well-established and effective ERP solution shouldn’t be abandoned just because a support clock is ticking.
We’re thrilled to stand alongside that group. Every GP customer deserves the confidence that comes from knowing a whole bench of experts — not just one vendor — has their back.
Where JAT Fits In: HR/Pay Is the Hard Part
GP’s Financial modules have a long, proven track record — they handle the accounting side of the business well, and that’s not where most GP customers lose sleep. The HR/Pay side is a different story. Payroll and HR processing carry a level of complexity that finance modules simply don’t: employment actions and policies have to comply with federal, state, and local mandates, and employers with union agreements or court-mandated terms face processing requirements that get complicated fast.
This is where JAT has built its specialty. We provide the integration capabilities that keep the HR/Pay modules of GP connected, compliant, and reliable — the piece of the puzzle that determines whether a GP customer can truly stay the course.
As a Preferred Partner in the Knights of GP consortium, we bring that specialization to the entire GP customer base, not just our existing clients. Our current stack includes:
1. HR/Pay Compliance Reporting — keeping employment actions and reporting aligned with shifting regulatory requirements
2. Benefit Carrier Integration — clean, reliable data flow between GP and benefit carriers
3. 3rd-Party Payroll Employee Integration — connecting GP to the payroll providers your organization already relies on
4. 3rd-Party Timekeeping/Scheduling Employee Integration — syncing time and scheduling data without manual rekeying

Why This Matters to You
Implementing an ERP — especially one that touches HR and Payroll — is one of the largest, most disruptive efforts any organization will undertake. We hear it from every client: nobody wants to go through that again unless they absolutely have to. As long as GP continues to operate and support the business, there’s no compelling reason to rip it out and start over.

That’s the promise behind our 10-year commitment and our place in the Knights of GP: your GP investment doesn’t have an expiration date just because Microsoft’s support calendar does. You can keep the system your team already knows, keep the workflows you’ve already built, and keep moving forward — with a Preferred Partner and an entire cooperative of specialists standing behind the HR/Pay side of your operation.

What’s Next: Bringing AI to HR/Payroll Workflows
Our commitment to GP isn’t just about keeping the lights on — it’s about moving the platform forward. Looking ahead, JAT is developing process automation powered by AI agents for HR/Payroll workflows, starting with the moments that create the most manual work today: onboarding, offboarding, and cross-boarding (job changes). These are multi-step, policy-driven workflows, and they’re exactly the kind of structured, repeatable process that AI-driven automation is built to handle — reducing manual work while keeping every step aligned to your employment policies.

Stop Rekeying. Start Connecting. Stay the Course.

Dynamics GP customers have a choice to make in the years ahead, but it isn’t the choice Microsoft’s timeline might suggest. It’s not GP versus a new ERP — it’s whether you have the right partners behind the modules that matter most. With our 10-year commitment and our membership in the Knights of GP, JAT is making sure the answer, for HR and Payroll, is yes.
